I worked for Alphabet (including its subsidiaries Google LLC and GV) for more than fourteen years. I have a financial interest in several GV funds. Whenever possible I’m careful to disclose when I am an investor in a particular company, either through GV or personally. Sometimes I cannot disclose an investment if the company has chosen not to make it public yet or if the investment was made after I departed GV and I’m not aware of it. You can see a comprehensive list of GV portfolio companies on their website. I also continue to own stock in Alphabet Inc., the parent company of GV and Google LLC.
I may have individual coaching clients who are employed by companies I write about. In many of these cases the company is covering all or a part of my coaching fee. Because I do not share client identities without their explicit written permission, I may not be able to disclose that financial relationship. I am a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and I adhere to ICF’s Code of Ethics, of which strict confidentiality is an essential principle.
